The company is also authorized to acquire, encumber, manage, administer and sell real estate, as well as participate in real estate companies and enterprises; however, real estate in Switzerland or participations in real estate companies and enterprises with real estate in Switzerland may only be acquired (without LAFE subordination procedure) if the properties are intended for the exercise of an economic activity in accordance with Art. 2 para. 2 lit. a) LAFE. The company may open branches and subsidiaries, participate in other companies in Switzerland and abroad, as well as engage in commercial, financial or other activities that are related to the company's purpose.
