The company's purpose is to research, develop, manufacture, purchase and sell globally products and materials for the automotive industry. The company may acquire and manage participations in Swiss or foreign companies of any kind. The company may acquire, manage, exploit and transfer patents, trademarks and technical, intellectual and industrial knowledge, including but not limited to the aim of developing and implementing technologies, efficiencies and digital applications. The company may acquire, manage and sell real estate in Switzerland and abroad, as well as establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the company is prohibited from acquiring, directly or indirectly (e.g. through company shares), real estate requiring authorization under the Federal Act of 16 December 1983 on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (BewG, SR 211.412.41). The company may participate in group financing, in particular by granting loans to its direct or indirect shareholders or other group companies, or by providing guarantees or other securities of any kind for their liabilities to third parties, even if these loans or securities are in the exclusive interest of its direct or indirect shareholders or other group companies and are granted free of charge. The company may conduct all other business, carry out all transactions and conclude all contracts that directly or indirectly promote the aforementioned purposes.
