The purpose of the foundation is to promote awareness and prevention of cardiovascular diseases in the population of the city and canton of Zurich, as well as to improve medical care for cardiovascular diseases. In particular, it engages in public relations work (events, media work, etc.) in the city and canton of Zurich, primarily in the area of atherosclerosis prevention and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and supports and complements the efforts of the Zurich Society for Cardiology in close collaboration. The foundation aims to support patient-oriented research as well as education, further education, and training. The foundation promotes cooperation with other medical specialist groups and the Medical Society of the Canton of Zurich. In doing so, it also maintains close ties with the Zurich and Swiss Societies for Cardiology in particular. The foundation does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit.
