The association aims to support animal welfare in general, as well as the initiation, promotion, and development of projects and measures for the worldwide protection of wildlife, particularly against poaching. The association specifically supports projects and measures in and around nature reserves and national parks worldwide regarding the further and advanced training of rangers and anti-poaching units. Furthermore, the association aims to provide humanitarian aid in the event of natural disasters and wars. For this purpose, the association trains and organizes a rapid response group called The Paws, which can be deployed worldwide for disaster relief of any kind and has expertise in the areas of search and rescue, repatriation of persons, wildfire fighting, and ordnance detection.
