to strengthen and develop capacities in reconstructive surgery in countries with limited resources and means, with a priority focus on Africa, by working with local, regional and international partners; to provide healthcare professionals with training opportunities, educational tools, technical and financial resources to perform high-quality reconstructive surgery interventions, ensuring patient safety and comfort; to encourage and facilitate local access to reconstructive surgery care for as many people as possible, in accordance with international standards; to promote and support the integration of reconstructive surgery into health policies, development programs and emergency humanitarian responses; to take charge, under a signed agreement, of the financial management of a specific humanitarian project with its own funding (cf. statutes for full purpose).
