The foundation aims to provide a protected home for animals that have been abandoned or kept in poor conditions. These homes should also be able to accommodate animals that are at risk of being killed due to their age, illness, insufficient performance or other reasons, allowing them to spend their remaining years in a safe environment. The homes can be operated in Switzerland and abroad, but must not serve any commercial purposes. Within the framework of species-appropriate animal husbandry, the use of animals is permitted; however, any income generated from such use must be used exclusively for the operation and maintenance of the homes. No experiments and/or scientific experiments/research or similar activities may be carried out on the animals cared for in the homes. The foundation can also support or carry out public awareness measures to combat poor animal husbandry, animal transport, animal testing (vivisection), etc., and can also initiate proceedings to enforce animal welfare laws. The foundation has an exclusively non-profit purpose, i.e. it has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purposes. The foundation's primary goal is the protection of the animals cared for in the homes. It is possible for animals that have been kept in the homes to be given to new owners, provided that sufficient guarantees are given that the animals will be kept in a species-appropriate manner at the new location. The foundation board must establish criteria that new owners must meet in such cases. The acquisition of real estate is possible.
