The foundation's primary purpose is to maintain and acquire new instruments and concert attire for the Stadtmusik Luzern. If the foundation does not need the available income of a year for the aforementioned purpose, the income can be used for the following purposes: financing composition commissions and sheet music for the Stadtmusik Luzern; financing the expenses of concerts of the Stadtmusik Luzern. To achieve the foundation's purpose, the income from the foundation's assets shall be used after deducting the administrative costs of the foundation. If the property mentioned in Article 2 is sold, the proceeds shall be invested at interest, and only the interest, but not the capital, may be used for the foundation's purpose.
