The foundation aims to promote and finance projects that initiate, support or maintain the health, education and upbringing of children and adults. This promotion refers to projects determined by the foundation board within the framework of the foundation's purpose and to tax-exempt institutions. It can include both one-time contributions and recurring support, e.g. in the context of longer-term programs. This is to be achieved primarily through the following measures: Promotion and financing of projects that enable an improvement in hygienic living conditions (drinking water, food, basic medical care). Development and financing of measures of all kinds for the benefit of adults and children to recognize and treat diseases as well as to promote disease prevention. Support for children through counseling and suitable support measures to create and mediate access to school education. Promotion of knowledge acquisition, further education and knowledge transfer, which enables school education. Promotion of forward-looking technologies of all kinds in connection with the health, education and upbringing of adults and children. Implementation or support of projects related to the prevention, detection, recording and elimination of circumstances of any kind that lead to the exploitation of children. Support for children in need who would not receive adequate education, care or medical treatment without support. Support for teaching and research as well as implementation or support of public relations work in the mentioned areas. With the support of the foundation, improved infrastructural (material and personnel) conditions are to be created in the mentioned areas, processes improved and new solution approaches for existing deficiencies created. The foundation can employ staff, acquire properties and other assets, and perform all activities that are suitable for achieving the foundation's purpose. The foundation operates within the framework of its purpose in Switzerland and in developing or emerging countries. The foundation does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit.
