The purpose of the association is the protection of species, animals, nature, and the environment in Indonesia and Malaysia, specifically the promotion of the protection and preservation of orangutans and their habitats, the tropical rainforest in Borneo. To fulfill the purpose and goal of the association, members are recruited, donations are solicited, foundation funds are applied for, information events are held, informational materials are distributed, and contacts with international institutions are fostered for the purpose of cooperation.
