The association, AREFA Employers' Association for Independent Cleaning and Facility Specialists and Customer Craftsmen, is a grouping of employers who wish to take advantage of services in small volumes or time-limited services. Even as so-called free employees, the service providers are classified as employees under labor law and are employed contractually by the community. This ensures that their services are correctly invoiced, social insurance is fully paid, and there is a single payroll per month, even if services are provided at different locations, i.e., for different members. We refer to the following groups: cleaning staff, facility specialists, general service providers for house and garden, as well as customer craftsmen. Handicraft activities in the sense of temporary assignments from members in the mentioned areas can also be included. The service providers should also be able to rely on a regular workload and have a single point of contact for the administrative processing of their salary. Every service user is compulsorily a member of the employers' association and thus bears the responsibility for the salary payments of their employees for the contractually agreed hours. Explicitly, no labor forces may be brokered. New members of the association are mainly recruited by the service providers. Another goal of the association is to promote environmental awareness in these work processes: the service providers are required to have an energy-conscious and environmentally friendly attitude. The service providers are oriented and thoroughly trained in this regard. Preferably, environmentally compatible, anti-allergic cleaning agents, gardening aids, and other products to be used are preferred. The association can offer pure payroll services for members. The association can offer consultations and support in administrative matters, as well as mediations and other life assistance for service providers and external consulting seekers and carry them out. In hardship cases, this service can be offered free of charge. These activities are clearly separated from the main activity of the association with separate accounting and, in the case of unpaid assistance, are not financed by the membership fees and administrative costs of the first group. The association can offer temporary accommodation. This is independent of whether the person is employed by the association.
