The association's purpose is to support the SWISS SIERRA LEONE DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (SSLDF), whose main objective is to promote the creation of hospitals in Sierra Leone, the operation and management of existing and future hospitals (Magbenteh Community Hospital near Makeni and Bai Bureh Memorial Hospital in Lungi), and to ensure medical development for the entire local population, regardless of ethnicity. Additionally, the association aims to promote the education of children, combat illiteracy, and raise awareness among the population about the importance of health in family life. The association may organize exhibitions, present conferences, provide advice, and train healthcare personnel on site, while monitoring the progress of its health centers from Switzerland. The association also aims to preserve, renew, and protect its inalienable heritage, including its land, hospitals, and dependencies, which serve as meeting and cultural spaces, and to support the medical and healthcare community in administrative, financial, or training matters (for a complete purpose, see the statutes).
