Association d'aide aux mères et enfants en République Démocratique du Congo

The association pursues the following objectives: to help mothers, as the primary educators of their children and families, to take on their social, civic and professional responsibilities and to increase their awareness; to improve the perceived image of the Congolese woman and to obtain recognition of the mother's mission in the public sphere and among policymakers, in law and institutions; to engage against the various forms of violence, exclusion, discrimination and exploitation that affect mothers in the DRC, in particular, and in Africa in general; to help unschooled children and those abandoned to either resume school or learn a trade under the direction of local artisans voluntarily recruited by the association; to raise funds to help mothers and their children.
