The association is non-profit and pursues the following purpose: I. The protection and promotion of privacy, freedom of expression and information. It promotes through the principles of Human Governance: - Education and awareness: Organization and implementation of information events, workshops, public awareness-raising, exhibitions, campaigns and the creation of publications to strengthen awareness of the importance of human rights. - Research and development: Support for research projects and studies dealing with the connections between human rights and technological developments and governance, in particular also the promotion of open source technologies and implementations. - Legal advice and support: Provision of support for individuals or organizations whose rights are endangered or violated. - Promotion of international cooperation: Building and maintaining networks with other non-profit organizations, authorities and civil society to effectively promote the association's goals. - Advocacy and public work: Promotion of legal frameworks that ensure the protection of human rights. II. The association may provide funding to institutions, entities and individuals for purpose-related activities and projects. III. The association does not pursue self-help or commercial or profit-oriented purposes. IV. The association pursues its purpose at national and international levels.
