To defend, promote, document and support Human Rights at an international level, contributing, among other things, to the dissemination and implementation of international declarations on the subject, including, but not limited to, the following examples: Universal Declaration of Human Rights (United Nations General Assembly of December 10, 1948); Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action (United Nations World Conference on Human Rights of June 14-25, 1993); Declaration on the Right and Responsibility of Individuals, Groups and Organs of Society to Promote and Protect Universally Recognized Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (United Nations General Assembly Resolution 53/144 of March 8, 1999, also known as the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights Defenders). To this end, ALU may, for example, promote knowledge of rights and the application of laws, conventions, treaties and other measures to ensure respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms wherever they are deemed threatened in its sole discretion; carry out research, mediation, assistance, including legal and judicial consulting if necessary, support the activities of other national and international organizations and entities with common purposes; collaborate and join federations, carry out development cooperation activities in the world, support, also economically, promoters and defenders of human rights who have distinguished themselves in their mission.
