The purpose of the Association is to promote the development and adoption of innovative technologies aimed at generating a positive societal impact, notably in the fields of cryptography, artificial intelligence (AI), and distributed ledger technologies (DLT). The Association's goal is primarily oriented towards the public interest on a non-profit basis. In particular, the Association is mainly dedicated to: (i) developing, maintaining, supporting, and securing the EVM-compatible Layer 1 distributed protocol called Ault Blockchain (the Protocol) on which tokens called BMAX Tokens (the Tokens) and their associated technologies will be issued transparently, sustainably, and in the public interest; (ii) acquiring, holding, licensing, and/or managing intellectual property rights (the Rights) protecting the Protocol and/or other rights; (iii) ensuring the organization, maintenance, security, and proper functioning of the Protocol; (iv) allocating grants to ensure the development, promotion, and technological evolution of the Protocol; (v) encouraging the development and dissemination of free, secure, and accessible technologies in the fields of cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, responsible artificial intelligence, and decentralized infrastructures; (vi) supporting scientific research and innovation projects, notably by granting grants, scholarships, and financial or technical assistance to third parties (individuals, universities, institutes, or organizations) actively working to advance this field; and (vii) promoting education, training, and awareness around these technologies, notably by organizing events, publications, or partnerships with academic and public institutions. The association is non-profit but may engage in commercial activities.
