The foundation aims to: a) reward exceptionally good work or achievements (age limit up to 40 years) by young people at Swiss universities, colleges, technical schools, ETH Zurich or EPUL, as well as at comparable institutions in the field of natural sciences (such as mathematics, computer science, physics, biology, etc., i.e. Phil. II subjects). However, the subjects of sociology, psychology, political science, and national economics are excluded, and students of the University of St. Gallen with their current range of studies are not among the potentially benefited students; b) to awaken and promote the interest of Swiss youth in independent research, e.g. by establishing a special prize or financing project and study weeks, etc.; c) to promote animal welfare in Switzerland and neighboring countries; d) to promote significant historical monuments in the cantons of Bern and Basel-Stadt (example from the past: wooden bridge in Hasle, Münster in Bern). Preferably, project-related grants are planned in the museum sector, but not the financing of ongoing costs for church and technical operations; e) to promote innovative young entrepreneurs (age limit up to 40 years) active in Switzerland; f) to support the purchase of objects related to the Swiss Confederation for the Swiss National Museum in Zurich and its annexes (example from the past, which are considered worthy of support: purchase of incunabula or the historically significant Louis XIV tapestry); g) to promote the Bernese hiking trails.
