The foundation aims to take over, manage and continue to use the dependent foundations under a common administrative umbrella, in accordance with their previous purpose, which are intended to be transferred to the Canton of Bern as part of the implementation of the Hospital Care Act (Art. 88 para. 3 SpVG). The foundation aims to receive, manage and use further partial assets under a common administrative umbrella, which are dedicated by the donors through conditions exclusively for public and/or charitable purposes of various kinds and are related to the healthcare sector in the Canton of Bern. The foundation aims to promote donations for public and/or charitable purposes in connection with the healthcare sector in the Canton of Bern in general, in particular by offering an alternative to the establishment of legally independent foundations and enabling partial assets to have a foundation function, especially when the establishment of a legally independent foundation appears economically disadvantageous due to the ratio of founding and administrative costs on the one hand and capital or its returns on the other. Within the framework of its purpose and in implementation of the conditions associated with the partial assets, the foundation can support social, charitable, humanitarian, medical, ecological, scientific, cultural or other institutions or projects in all their possible forms. The foundation has a public and charitable character and does not pursue any commercial purpose. It is politically and denominationally neutral.
