The foundation aims to make a significant contribution to solving social and ecological challenges by promoting and supporting non-profit projects and business ideas in Switzerland and abroad. The focus is on supporting socially motivated companies and promoting entrepreneurial innovations to combat poverty and improve the living conditions of people in need, in the sense of self-help. The purpose of the foundation includes, in particular, the promotion of (i) access to basic services for people in need in the areas of nutrition, education, health/hygiene, housing, energy, and financial services (e.g. microfinance); (ii) renewable energy and sustainable use of natural resources; (iii) environmental protection, ecologically sustainable production of food and other products, and the provision of ecologically sustainable services; (iv) access to the labor market for people in need; and (v) investment activities in socially and ecologically oriented companies; full description of the purpose according to the foundation deed.
