The Company's purpose is the acquisition, management and sale of participations in Swiss or foreign companies, with the exception of operations prohibited by the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners (LFAIE). The Company may acquire, manage and transfer real estate in Switzerland and abroad (with the exception of operations prohibited by the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners (LFAIE)) as well as establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad. The Company may acquire, manage and transfer any intellectual property, including patents, trademarks or any technical or industrial know-how. The Company may participate in group financing, in particular by granting loans to its direct or indirect shareholders or to other group companies or by granting guarantees or other securities of any kind for their obligations to third parties, even if such loans or securities are in the exclusive interest of the said direct or indirect shareholders or other group companies and are granted gratuitously. The Company may acquire, sell, charter, lease and manage seagoing vessels, as well as carry out financial and commercial operations directly or indirectly related thereto. The Company may engage in any trading activity, including trading in call options and put options of listed companies. The Company may engage in any activities that may promote the purpose of the Company and are directly or indirectly related thereto.
