The foundation has the general purpose of using the annual net income from the foundation's capital to assist as many citizens of the canton of Grisons as possible, regardless of gender and age, and regardless of their religious affiliation, who are in need and whose income from gainful employment, benefits from federal, cantonal, municipal or other welfare institutions is not sufficient to enable them and their families to maintain a standard of living or to receive vocational training to earn a work income, with one-time or recurring annual financial assistance. The beneficiaries should primarily be young and old sick and disabled people, but also talented citizens of the canton who lack the necessary means to learn a profession; furthermore, public-law corporations and institutions as well as private institutions of the canton of Grisons that care for persons falling within the circle of beneficiaries may also receive financial assistance. The determination of the beneficiaries and the amounts to be paid to them is the responsibility of the foundation board.
