The cooperative aims to provide insurance coverage for total or partial damage to carcasses, taken over on markets supervised by Proviande Cooperative, based in Bern, purchased from trade and settled by affiliated organizations, through mutual self-help. The cooperative can enter into all transactions and conclude contracts that are suitable to promote the purpose of the cooperative or are related to it. Furthermore, it can become a member of organizations that are related to the activities of CH-Schlachtviehversicherung Cooperative.
