The Company's purpose is the purchase, sale, bareboat charter, chartering, freighting, operation, and management of seagoing vessels, as well as the financial and commercial operations directly or indirectly related thereto, with the exception of operations prohibited by the Federal Law on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (LFAIE). The Company may acquire, manage, and transfer interests in Swiss or foreign companies, with the exception of operations prohibited by the LFAIE. The Company may acquire, manage, and transfer real property in Switzerland and abroad (with the exception of operations prohibited by the LFAIE) as well as establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad. For these purposes, the Company may acquire, manage, and transfer any intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, or any technical or industrial know-how. The Company may participate in group financing, including by granting loans to its direct or indirect shareholders or to other companies in the group, or by granting guarantees or other securities of all kinds for their obligations to third parties, even if such loans or securities are in the exclusive interest of said direct or indirect shareholders or other companies in the group and are granted free of charge. The Company may engage in any trading activity, including trading in call options and put options of listed companies. The Company may engage in any activities likely to promote the purpose of the Company and directly or indirectly related thereto.
