The foundation's purpose is to promote and implement various activities and projects in the field of education and support related to age-related diseases, particularly neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia and specifically Alzheimer's disease. The foundation is active throughout Switzerland and internationally, in accordance with its purpose. Key areas of focus: Education: Providing information and education on age-related diseases, prevention measures, and early detection, as well as counseling and support for those affected and their families. Educational measures are to be conveyed primarily through modern communication media. Science and Research: Promoting university research projects/basic research on the causes and therapies of age-related diseases, supporting young scientists, and disseminating research results. Support: Providing financial support to those in need and their families, promoting self-help groups and volunteer work, and supporting offers for relief and accompaniment, also with the help of artificial intelligence and future modern technologies. As part of the promotion of the foundation's purpose, awards can also be presented by the foundation. The foundation can extend its activities to other areas, provided they are in line with the purpose stated in the first paragraph. It is worth noting that not all areas of focus must be implemented for the purpose to be fulfilled. The foundation explicitly reserves the right to act as a so-called umbrella foundation and to create and manage purpose-bound funds (so-called sub-foundations) for this purpose. This allows the foundation to offer private donors with small, medium, and large assets the opportunity to effectively implement their personal funding concerns within the framework of the foundation's purpose, according to the standards of cost-effective funding activities. The foundation is non-profit, does not pursue any commercial purpose, and does not strive for profit. It is politically and denominationally neutral.
