The Danilo Amplo Foundation aims to preserve the memory of Danilo Amplo, who passed away on September 3, 2009 at the age of 16, a student in the 3rd secondary class at the Klosterschule Engelberg. To fulfill this purpose, the foundation shall award a cash prize of at least CHF 500.00 to one or more students of the Klosterschule Engelberg at the end of each school year for a period of 20 years from the establishment of the foundation. The prize winner shall be selected based on the following criteria: The student has distinguished himself through the promotion of camaraderie and class spirit in his class. The student has achieved good academic performance. These criteria may be applied cumulatively or alternatively, with the above order of priority. Instead of a cash prize to an individual student, an alternative contribution to a school or class camp or a social project of the Klosterschule Engelberg may be awarded. At the award ceremony or in the award certificate, it shall be stated: The prize is awarded in memory of Danilo Amplo, born on June 12, 1993, who passed away on September 3, 2009 after a short, severe illness as a student of the 3rd secondary class of the Klosterschule Engelberg. To achieve the foundation's purpose, the foundation collects and manages the financial resources in an appropriate manner. The foundation is non-profit.
