The purpose of the foundation is to support charitable causes. In particular, the foundation supports: public benefit purposes, charitable and social purposes (large families, mentally and physically disabled and chronically ill individuals), educational and formative purposes (support for individuals or institutions, reintegration of involuntarily unemployed individuals), scientific purposes (research in the fields of natural sciences, humanities, and medicine), cultural and artistic purposes (music and visual arts). The examples listed in parentheses are not exhaustive and are not to be considered as exclusive. The foundation may also transfer the fulfillment of its purpose to other organizations, foundations, institutes, and aid organizations in Switzerland and abroad by transferring the corresponding amounts. The foundation may also establish and operate such organizations, institutes, and aid organizations in Switzerland and abroad.
