The vision of D4P is a world in which sustainable and ethical digital technologies empower humanity to protect and regenerate the environment while fostering sustainable societal and economic progress for all. The mission of D4P is to advance the protection and regeneration of the environment and to promote fair progress through sustainable and ethical digital technologies. This is achieved by deepening the understanding of the complex interrelationships of digital sustainability, accelerating the development and introduction of responsible digital solutions, and building a collaborative ecosystem with multiple actors. In accordance with its mandate, D4P pursues the following goals: Advancing research and knowledge: Development and dissemination of research results on digital sustainability, examining the complex relationships between technology, environment, and social progress; Accelerating innovative solutions: Supporting and promoting the development of ethical digital technologies to address ecological and social challenges through targeted programs and resources; Raising awareness and building capacities: Developing information campaigns to improve understanding of digital sustainability, build skills, and mobilize resources for responsible digital innovations; Promoting collaborative ecosystems: Building and strengthening a large network of diverse stakeholders to enable cross-sectoral collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of sustainable digital technologies; Influencing policy and advocacy: Collaborating with policymakers and stakeholders to promote and develop guidelines for a sustainable and ethical digital transformation. The association is exclusively non-profit and does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes. The bodies act on a voluntary basis.
