The purpose of the foundation is to employ a Roman Catholic auxiliary priest at the Roman Catholic Church in Oberdorf, particularly when the previously affiliated parishes of Bellach, Langendorf, and Lommiswil are separated from the mother parish of Oberdorf. A distribution of the foundation's assets to these affiliated parishes is excluded; the foundation's funds may only be used for the employment of a vicar, chaplain, or early mass celebrant in Oberdorf itself; the foundation is thus locally bound. The selection of this auxiliary priest is made by the diocesan bishop responsible for the parish of Oberdorf, based on a proposal of three candidates submitted to him by the foundation board.
