The foundation exclusively pursues public-benefit purposes by promoting science and research, as well as public health and public healthcare. Individuals and projects are supported regardless of their origin. The purpose of the foundation is to be fulfilled primarily in the canton of Obwalden. The foundation thus exclusively and directly pursues public-benefit purposes. The foundation can also provide financial and material resources to other tax-exempt non-profit organizations, institutions, foundations, or a suitable public authority if these entities are active in the field of the statutory purpose as defined in paragraph 1.
