To preserve the inalienable core stock of 64 paintings of the founder's life's work and, to the extent possible, make them accessible to the public (e.g. through exhibitions) and thereby make visible the interrupted continuity of European painting, which has been disrupted by various influences. To sell the remaining paintings belonging to the founder's assets and painted by the founder, until only the 64 paintings (core stock) remain the property of the foundation. The foundation may also use smaller values (in cash or in kind) from its assets to promote the activities of third parties (e.g. young artists), provided that the purpose of the foundation is still guaranteed.
