The purpose of the association is to promote, advance and coordinate the game of cricket in Europe in a spirit of peace, understanding and fair play, without any discrimination on the grounds of politics, gender, religion, race or any other reason. Furthermore, the purpose is to promote the development of the game of cricket in all European countries and in the European geographical landscape, and to promote the development of the administration, organization and supervision of the game of cricket in all European countries. In addition, the purpose is to develop, organize and supervise competitions at all levels of the game of cricket between European countries, both at the national team and club team levels, including cricket for people with disabilities. Moreover, the aim is to organize and promote travel and competitions among members, to formulate, coordinate and modify the conditions under which competitions are held, and to promote the development of playing facilities in member countries. Furthermore, the aim is to regulate all matters related to its own cricket competitions in Europe and to promote and develop projects through contracts, memoranda of understanding, agreements or bilateral relations with organizations, associations, institutions, regions or countries within or outside Europe. The association ensures that it acts at all times in accordance with the principles of good governance and provides its members with the structures through which the objectives of the ECA are defined, the means of achieving these objectives, and through the monitoring of the performance of the Executive Committee, the administration, the specialist committees and the members of the ECA. The association may, at any time, engage third parties and/or outsource various activities in whole or in part to qualified service providers in order to achieve the aforementioned purposes of the association. The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not aim to make a profit.
