To leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to transform education by supporting the development, evaluation, and dissemination of evidence-based, technically sound, and affordable AI-based educational solutions, and by promoting data-driven decision-making and climate-smart planning in the education sector. The Foundation specifically aims to improve learning outcomes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) by addressing fundamental barriers to learning and encouraging innovative and scalable educational approaches. To this end, the Foundation seeks to establish itself as a global authority on AI-based education for LMICs by facilitating access to knowledge, advice, training, and open-source public infrastructure, including real-time tracking of developments in AI-based education technology and publishing research to inform strategies and practices in this area. The Foundation also supports smart and data-driven education systems by promoting improvements in personnel, processes, and technologies across the education sector. The Foundation is non-profit.
