The purpose of the foundation is to cover the costs of education, training and equipment of the beneficiaries mentioned in the following article or to support them, in accordance with the following special provisions: a) It is the responsibility of the foundation board to determine, on a case-by-case basis, which beneficiaries should receive contributions from the foundation's assets or income, and for which special cases and purposes. The foundation board will make these decisions at its own discretion and in accordance with its duties. b) In the sense of guidelines for fulfilling the purpose of the foundation, the use of the foundation's funds is primarily intended for the following cases: aa) Contributions to the education of children and their further vocational training and general education, in particular to cover the costs of schools, boarding schools, university studies, stays abroad for educational and training purposes, and artistic training of young people. bb) Awarding prizes for outstanding achievements in school and university. cc) Awarding special contributions to particularly gifted children or young people for specialized further education in a specific field. dd) Taking over special costs caused by illness, disability or physical or mental impairment of a beneficiary, in particular the takeover of costs of hospitals, sanatoriums and medical care. ee) Equipping young beneficiaries in the event of their marriage or in the event of establishing their own independent existence, but not financing any business of beneficiaries. ff) Awarding actual support payments in cases of need or poverty of beneficiaries. c) The foundation board is free to determine, within its discretionary powers, which applications from beneficiaries should be considered and which may be refused. In cases of doubt, the foundation board will carefully review the applications submitted to it or have them reviewed by persons of its trust. The scope of the contributions to be approved for individual cases will also be determined by the foundation board at its discretion, taking into account the funds available to the foundation at any given time.
