The purpose of the FIFe is to unite all clubs or associations of clubs, regardless of their nationality or legal seat, that work for the benefit of domesticated cats of any origin; purebred or not. The FIFe promotes the breeding of cats and the development of breeds and is committed to promoting their well-being. In particular, the FIFe deals with: a) Unification of the rules for judges, exhibitions, exhibition titles, etc. b) Description of breeds and unification of breed standards. c) Recognition and establishment of pedigree registers (LO) and experimental lists (RIEX) of each country, with each country being supported in setting up its own registers for each of the types mentioned above. The FIFe is free to examine such registers without interfering in the independence of each member. d) Establishment and regulation of an International Register of Kennel Names. e) Compilation of official lists of judges authorized by the association. f) Granting of permits for requested national and international exhibitions. This list is not exhaustive. The FIFe is authorized to deal with any question related to wild, domestic, or purebred cats.
