The FMBP has, in particular, the following objectives: to promote a sports policy for the sport of bowls at the international level in order to develop the recognized and represented disciplines within the FMBP's Colleges, practiced by the national federations, to facilitate their entry into various multi-sport competitions and to make the sport of bowls an Olympic discipline; to regularly implement training actions, either common to several recognized disciplines or individualized on the essentially technical aspects of a recognized discipline; to implement a sports policy: in accordance with the principles of the International Olympic Organization defined in the official documents governing the activity of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in particular the Olympic Charter and Agenda 2020; aimed at making international and national public and sports authorities recognize that human and social values are paramount and inherent to the practice of the sport of bowls and the spirit of human fraternity and solidarity among peoples, linked to the organization of sports competitions; able to enhance the technical components of competition and self-discipline in terms of physical and intellectual preparation; suitable to enhance the attachment to the sport of bowls of political authorities and public opinion, in particular the written, spoken and televised media; allowing the development of our recognized disciplines in favor of women and facilitating access to leadership positions for their representatives; taking into account environmental preservation; aiming to standardize the period of holding championships in various recognized disciplines, taking into account major international competitions; affirming its will and determination to relentlessly pursue the fight against doping in sport, within the strict framework of the regulations developed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), to respect the principles of ethics and fair play, and to promote sports-health actions. The FMBP does not pursue any lucrative purpose.
