The FMJD aims to: 1. Promote and develop all forms of play at all levels as a means of contributing to the positive development of society. 2. Develop specific services for its members and all checkers players and provide them with assistance, training, and support; 3. Increase the level of recognition of the FMJD and its members by the actors of the Olympic Movement as well as by other organizations involved in sports; 4. Fight against doping and promote Peace in and through sports; 5. Organize high-level tournaments such as world championships and actively support the organization of tournaments by its members; 6. Draft and publish regulations for the awarding of titles and grant them to those who are entitled to them; 7. Be a modern, flexible, transparent, and responsible organization; 8. Organize, at least once every two years, a meeting called the General Assembly of all its Members and other actors of the checkers movement; 9. Unconditionally recognize the autonomy of its members and their authority within their organization; 10. Promote closer ties with its members and between its members; 11. Coordinate and protect the common interests of its members; 12. Collaborate with organizations that aim to promote mind sports on a global scale and, if possible, be part of them; 13. Collect, gather, and disseminate information to/from its members.
