The foundation aims to plan, implement, support, manage and take over the sponsorship of social and non-profit projects, particularly in the fields of culture, art, social and socio-political areas, as well as to provide corresponding support to individuals and/or groups active in these areas. Its activities are mainly limited to the canton of Bern. To achieve the foundation's purpose, the foundation may participate directly or indirectly in other organizations active in the field of the foundation's purpose, or establish such organizations, within the framework of the law. In doing so, the foundation assumes the control and management function in the organizations it holds or establishes. The foundation must hold a majority stake in its subsidiary organizations, and the representatives of the foundation in their organs must act exclusively in the interest of the foundation and ensure a direction consistent with the purpose of the foundation. It may also carry out all activities and transactions, enter into business, conclude contracts, and take out or grant loans that are suitable to promote the purpose of the foundation or are directly or indirectly related to it. The foundation may participate in other companies and organizations or cooperate with them to promote the purpose of the foundation. It may acquire, hold and sell real estate. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purposes. Any surpluses are fully reinvested in accordance with the purpose. The foundation is politically and denominationally neutral. It rejects discrimination of a political, religious and ethnic nature, as well as discrimination based on gender or race. The foundation is not profit-oriented.
