The foundation aims to perpetuate the memory and work of the painter Auguste Veillon (1834-1890) by all means deemed useful. In particular, it sets the following objectives: to establish an Auguste Veillon museum in the building located in Cully (Bourg-en-Lavaux municipality), 7, route de Lausanne; to permanently exhibit works by the artist and his contemporaries; to organize temporary thematic exhibitions in connection with the artist's work; to create a collection comprising, in addition to the works bequeathed by the late Jacqueline Veillon, emblematic works from each period of the artist's career, covering different places where he worked in Switzerland and the Middle East. This collection may be expanded with works on deposit or donation; to undertake research on the painter, including establishing a catalogue raisonné of his works, as well as research on his biography and artistic relationships with painters of his time, and analyses of his work. The foundation may also support research submitted by independent researchers. It does not pursue any profit-making purpose.
