The Foundation does not pursue any profit-making purpose, that is to say, no commercial or revenue-generating activity. Its purpose is solely charitable, ecological, cultural, educational, and social. The Foundation aims to promote, support, and implement, in Switzerland and abroad, charitable, environmental, cultural, and community initiatives and projects to contribute to the preservation of biodiversity, the protection of ecosystems and wildlife, the safeguarding of cultural heritage, and the strengthening of communities. In particular, the Foundation works to: preserve lands and biodiversity, by designing, evaluating, selecting, promoting, implementing, administering, supporting, and/or monitoring projects, initiatives, associations, foundations, or charitable philanthropic organizations related to the conservation and restoration of natural spaces and ecosystems, rewilding efforts, and the protection of endangered species, wildlife, and animal welfare, in partnership with community, scientific, or other initiatives; safeguard and enhance cultural heritage, by contributing to the preservation and revitalization of living cultural traditions, notably arts, oral transmission, and livelihoods based on heritage, particularly when they are threatened with disappearance, through financing, partnerships, as well as empowerment and strengthening of communities; empower communities and promote sustainability, by fostering social and environmental sustainability through education, capacity development, and support for local initiatives that strengthen dignity, economic resilience, and long-term sustainable environmental management.
