The foundation aims to contribute to the realization of the religious ideal set by the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Lyon in its constitutions: to live in conformity with the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church and, thereby, to spread the Catholic faith in the world. To achieve its religious purpose, the foundation contributes to the financing of the apostolic, charitable, and social activities carried out by the Sisters of the Congregation of Saint Joseph of Lyon, within the framework of the Congregation's purpose, which is to serve the sick and the infirm, whether in hospitals, at home, in education, and generally all good works related to the Roman Catholic Church. The foundation provides financial support to the works undertaken by the Sisters of the Congregation, including the education and training of young people in schools and homes; assistance to the elderly, the sick, and the disabled at home, in hospitals, care centers, and specialized institutions; the animation of parish and social centers; health services in dispensaries and basic hygiene training. The foundation does not pursue any lucrative or commercial purpose. If a public law corporation is legally required to provide services similar to those of the foundation, the latter will only intervene on a subsidiary basis.
