The Foundation aims to ensure professional pension provision under the LPP and its implementing ordinances against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability for all the staff of the Founder and its entities affiliated with the Foundation, to the extent that they have an affiliation agreement, as well as the employees of the Foundation itself, and their relatives and survivors. The association of an affiliated company takes place through a special written agreement, subject to the Supervisory Authority. The Foundation can grant benefits more extensive than those provided by law and include allowances for particular states of need such as illness, accident, or unemployment. The Foundation Council issues the regulations that govern the benefits, organization, administration, financing, and control of the Foundation itself. It also defines the relationships between the employer, the insured, and the entitled parties. The Foundation Council has the power at any time to amend the regulations. Acquired rights must nevertheless be protected. The regulations and their amendments are subject to the Supervisory Authority. If the achievement of the purpose requires it, the Foundation can enter into insurance contracts or take over existing contracts, as the contracting and beneficiary party.
