To protect the employees of the Founder, its branches, the companies directly or indirectly associated with it, in fact or in law, domiciled in Switzerland, against the economic consequences of old age, invalidity, illness or accidents, and to assist the family of a deceased employee. The Foundation may also assist employees who are in difficulty without fault on their part, due to unemployment or to mitigate any other state of indigence. It has the right to conclude, as a policyholder, group insurance contracts with insurance companies, for the benefit of part or all of the staff of the Founder, or to take over existing contracts in its name. The Foundation may not assume obligations that, legally, fall to the Founder, nor make payments that have the character of remuneration for work, such as cost-of-living allowances or other salary supplements.
