In Switzerland and worldwide, the foundation's purpose is to provide contributions to philanthropic and public institutions pursuing one or more of the objectives listed below and to engage itself (if necessary in collaboration with third parties) in actions and programs (including the establishment of prizes, scholarships or other similar forms) working towards the realization of these objectives in the areas of: a) poverty prevention and alleviation; b) education promotion; c) promotion of religion; d) health promotion (including disease prevention and cure or alleviation of related suffering); e) promotion of civic engagement (including combating rural exodus and promoting volunteering); f) promotion of art, culture, cultural heritage and science; g) promotion of non-professional sports activities (i.e. exercise of sports or games promoting health and involving physical or mental skills or a certain effort); h) promotion of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation between peoples, as well as promotion of understanding between different religions and ethnicities, including promotion of equality and diversity; i) environmental protection and improvement; j) assistance (including provision of housing and care) to disadvantaged individuals due to their young age, advanced age, poor health, disability, financial difficulties or other factors; k) animal protection; l) support for social services providing recreational activities for disadvantaged individuals due to their young age, advanced age, poor health, disability, financial difficulties or other social factors, with the aim of improving their living conditions.
