The foundation is of public utility: to promote cultural-historical research in French-speaking regions, such as Romandy and southwestern France, as well as research on migration (or the study of migrations) in these regions; it supports associations and public utility organizations that are concerned with the geographical, historical, biological, and ethnic development of these regions and document them, such as, for example, but not exclusively, the Association Mémoire en Marensin, the Société de Borda, and the Association Jean Boucau; it supports scientific publications pursuing such a goal, may support the training of young people in this field, encourages cultural-historical activities and social life, and may participate in cultural-historical, geographical, or biological projects, excluding commercial projects, in French-speaking regions and in the interest of the community (cf. statutes for complete purpose).
