to better acquaint the Western world with the history of Iran and Iranian culture. To achieve its goal, the foundation: a) makes available to the public a library of works on Iran, including books and various documents and objects donated by the founder, in premises also donated by the latter, b) awards every two years an honorary prize in the name of Mossadegh and a symbolic Swiss gold coin to the author of a recent work on Iran in French, English or translated into French, chosen by a jury of specialists or, failing that, directly by the foundation's board. c) the foundation will have no political or religious activity. d) the foundation may grant: i) scholarships to students and researchers for the pursuit of Iranian studies; ii) subsidies to Swiss universities to finance teaching and research in Iranian studies.
