The Foundation's purpose is to support, through direct or indirect grants (i.e., through associations, entities, institutes, foundations, etc.), individuals or projects in Switzerland and abroad in the field of education and aid to people in need. In particular, the Foundation aims to: finance existing schools or the creation of new schools in places where education is lacking and/or not accessible to all, typically in developing countries; grant scholarships in the form of interest-free loans, which are to be repaid in principle; financially support people with difficulties in integrating into society, for example, because they have not completed their education, cannot find work, are subject to addictions, or lack family or institutional support, to promote their resocialization and professional reintegration. The granting of financial aid should respect the proportion of 2/3 for grants destined to projects abroad (both direct and indirect) and 1/3 for grants in Switzerland, with priority in Ticino. These proportions do not need to be strictly respected year by year, but over a period of 3-4 years. The Foundation is non-profit and does not pursue any gain. It is non-partisan, apolitical, and secular.
