The foundation's purpose is to build, renovate or acquire a building to be used as a center for elderly people, manage it and/or create and manage structures and services to support and assist elderly people, as well as promote its own initiatives and support third-party initiatives aimed at helping and assisting elderly people and integrating them into local community life. This will strengthen the ties between the community of Lumino and its elderly, particularly between young and old people in the town. Elderly people who receive an AHV pension or, in the future, social benefits replacing the current AHV pension, will be able to benefit from the foundation's services. The services must be provided without distinction of nationality, religion or sex, in general without adopting discriminatory criteria. The foundation is non-profit and of public utility.
