The Foundation aims to promote, support and sustain - mainly through works, subsidies and charity - projects and activities of individuals, institutions, organizations and associations active in the fields of culture, art, social assistance and charity, education, healthcare, nature protection, landscape and animal conservation, and the preservation of local customs and traditions. The Foundation also has the power to develop and implement, in the areas of interest listed above, its own projects and activities of public utility, including projects aimed at individuals in need. The projects and activities promoted, favored or supported must have a direct connection with the Muggio Valley, the Mendrisiotto or the rest of the Canton of Ticino (in order of priority). Excluded, except for occasional moderate aid, are grants in favor of associations, organizations or individuals active in the fields of agriculture, tourism and gastronomy, as well as in favor of municipalities, patriciates and parishes. The Foundation, in order to pursue its purposes, may also acquire, hold and sell real estate, as well as hire personnel for its service. By the will of the founders, if they were to transfer to the Foundation the property located on the land referred to in map no. 110 RFP Breggia/Cabbio, the latter must be used or granted to third parties for the purpose of fulfilling the purposes listed in this provision. Before proceeding with a possible sale, the Foundation Council is required to consider the hypothesis of donating the property to an association, organization or institution of public utility, which can guarantee its use in the interest of the community. In this regard, the Foundation Council will issue a specific regulation.
