The development and support of initiatives aimed at revitalizing the mountainous region in the fields of agriculture, culture, economy, education, forestry, naturalism, landscape, recreation, science, social affairs, history, territory and tourism between the right bank of the Ticino river starting from Gorduno and the left bank of the Verzasca Valley up to the Contra dam, with the possibility of future territorial extensions. The Foundation aims in particular to create a horizontal connection in the middle mountain range that directly connects the main mountains and alps of the territory, linking them to the existing vertical connections with the intention of promoting a linear path that serves as the backbone for the entire development project. In carrying out its tasks, the Foundation is guided by the principle of sustainable development according to the most recent definition recognized by the United Nations. The Foundation can operate independently or in collaboration with other public or private entities; in particular, the Foundation will maintain relations with the patriziati on whose properties the horizontal connection will run, in order to ensure proper and adequate collaboration. To achieve its goals, the Foundation can operate on its own funds or on funds from others, respecting the rights of third parties. The Foundation pursues public utility purposes, is non-profit and has an indefinite duration. The Foundation can also acquire, hold and sell real estate to be used as its own offices or spaces connected to its purpose.
