The purpose of the association is to educate, promote and support children, adolescents and young adults who live in economic need or are otherwise underprivileged, particularly in countries of the former Soviet Union (FSU) and in developing and emerging countries. Another purpose of the association is the direct and indirect promotion of the common good in the broadest sense, both domestically and abroad. The association operates on a non-profit basis and does not pursue its own economic goals. To achieve its purpose, the association may cooperate with other legal or natural persons, merge with other legal persons, transfer the association's assets to another legal person for a specific purpose, and coordinate initiatives, activities and projects through suitable measures to achieve the association's goals. The association may engage in all activities and take all necessary measures to realize its purpose and achieve its goals. It may establish branches and representations both domestically and abroad.
