The purpose of the foundation is to support employees and pensioners of CREDIT SUISSE GROUP AG and companies economically and financially closely related to it, as well as their dependents and heirs, in cases of unforeseen hardship due to illness, accident, disability, death or unemployment. The foundation also provides voluntary cost-of-living allowances to retirees. The foundation may provide voluntary supplementary benefits to the statutory pension benefits in the event of old age, disability and death, as well as voluntary purchase benefits to the statutory pension scheme for employees. To fulfill the purpose of the foundation, it may conclude insurance contracts, whereby the foundation must be the policyholder and beneficiary. To finance contributions and insurance premiums, the foundation may also provide benefits to other tax-exempt employee benefit institutions that exist for the benefit of the beneficiaries.
